I’ve thought about this for a long time now but I haven’t really found anything that I’ve liked or that seemed simple enough for me to work with. I’ve even thought about finding an electrical engineer and working with them to build the hardware side of what I need to do the home automation projects I’ve been wanting to do. Recently I’ve been thinking about trying to do some research on this again and this time around I’ve found something interesting… X10. At this point I’m not even certain what it is but I have found talk of people who have used c# software programs to control X10 enabled devices.

It looked kind of exciting to me so I think I’ll figure out what I would need to purchase and see if I might be able to add some automation into my custom home theater software.

Wrong. Never in my life have I felt this sick. My entire body hurts, everything I eat makes me sick, anything that touches my skin stings (even my own clothing). I’ve had a fever over 100 for days now and it spikes up to 104 and when it gets that high I feel like i’m dying. I certainly realize that there much more horrible things in the world than having Influenza but to date in my personal experiences, this is the worst I’ve ever felt. Ok, back to my chair.
It’s a bit to early to say for sure but after working with the finances all day it looks like January 2009 will be a profitable month! Sadly some of this good news is mired by the fact that yet again our work with ADP is screwed up and they’ve done something wrong… again. Oh well, it just goes to show that when working with financial institutions it will always be riddled with problems.
